About Me

What can I tell you about me?  My word, there’s a lot..  In a word – complicated, but then again aren’t we all?  I think as you wander this journey and live life with me you’ll find out just how complicated.  But that’s the thing, I want you to find out more about me because I believe in doing so you will find out more about yourself.  I want my life to be an open book because that’s how we all live and grow and struggle together.  No perfect social media posts for me, nothing photo shopped out of my life. We live our real life with each other, through each other and because of each other.  That’s how we are designed.  We are not designed to live this life alone, we need each other.  So while I can tell you a whole lot about me, let’s find out together, let’s live this life together as we are meant to..   imperfect but together.

In full transparency with you I have decided to keep myself anonymous.  This is for a lot of reasons you will see in my posts.. to protect myself and my family and friends.  Now if we were in person I would be completely and entirely open with you but we all know what the internet is and what people are capable of and I need to protect those I’m closest to along with myself.  There’s a whole lot of vulnerability that goes into this and I cannot subject my family to that same vulnerability that I am willing to lay out.  Think of this as a safe space for all of us where we can share and learn and grow together without fear of what some would think or fear of unintentionally hurting others because of how your story touches theirs.  This is for us.

My Life

I grew up the youngest child of three.  I lived a blessed life, growing up with two parents who loved God and loved me.  A family that was whole and intact.  Siblings that I loved and hated at times and always idolized.  I grew up in a loving Christian environment, had everything I needed provided for me and lacked for no necessity.  It was a life I know many don’t get to experience and I know I am extremely blessed for that.  In fact, some would say that I am privileged.  And I know that I am.  However, I am here to tell you that not every life is perfect.  Not every life is golden.  Not every life is what it would seem.
